April Eco-Salon Next Monday!
Posted: 3:27PM April 3rd, 2012 | Comments
In the wake of the beekeeping ordinance that passed with such fanfare early last month, we're excited to bring you a whole evening's conversation about small-scale urban agriculture.
From chicken coops to bee hives and fruit and nut trees, Madison's back yards are turning into ecological oases. Perfectly timed for spring planting, Monday's Eco-Salon will shed some light on city ordinances which allow these urban farms to exist, and will provide tips and insight on how to cultivate your own!
We'll hear from:
Julie King, Rooftop Coordinator, Madison Children's Museum
Jim Winkle, Madison Fruits & Nuts
Shelly Strom, Madison Fruits & Nuts
Twain Lockhard, Poultry Consultant, Cargill Animal Nutrition
Bryan Whiting, Midwest Permaculture Guild
We'll be drawing for free rental coupons to Four Star Video.
Let us know we'll see you there by RSVPing on Facebook!
As always, admission is free, and we'll have an hour of drinks and mingling at 5PM followed by our conversations at 6.
