I work for UW Health as a Career Pathways Coordinator. I became interested in the Sustainability Leadership Program after participating in MG&E's New Green Challenge. I wanted to investigate how ecological sustainability related to equity for communities of color. My work deals with educating and removing barriers for underrepresented populations in pursuing allied health careers.
As we work with the undergraduate and high school population I am able to connect issues related to equity and social justice directly into the design of our outreach programming. Many of the skills and leaderships tools such as Art of Hosting and Participatory Decision-Making have been instrumental in how to formulate effective training sessions and navigate out large group events.
