The Sustain Dane Summit will take place at the Gordon Dining and Events Center.
The Gordon Dining and Event Center (Gordon Commons) is located on the UW-Madison Campus at 770 W. Dayton Street, across from the Kohl Center.
Constructed in 2012, the Gordon Facility incorporates many green/sustainable design elements, including a green roof, rain garden, waste oil boiler, and a pulper for composting food waste.
Limited street parking is available in the area, but easy foot and bicycle access is provided by the East Campus Mall, with a convenient offramp from the Southwest Commuter Path. Metro Bus Campus routes 80 and 82 have stops along Dayton Street, and many Metro routes stop on Johnson or University between Lake and Park streets. Parking may be available at the Johnson and Lake Ramp (Lot 46), where we have reserved parking passes available for purchase along with your event registration.
The Sustain Dane Summit will be held upstairs in the Gordon Event Center, in the combined Sonata, Concerto, and Overture Rooms. Registration will take place in the corridor at the top of the north-east staircase of the building.
Elevator access is available by the north-west stairs. Assistive hearing devices can be provided by prior request.
A vegetarian menu will be served including a light breakfast, coffee, and a hearty lunch. Light hors d’oeuvres with complimentary nonalcoholic beverages and a cash bar will follow the Summit.
RESTROOMS: UW policy is that anyone can use the restroom they feel comfortable in. There is a single-stall locking restroom in the building downstairs: 1st floor on the right in between other restrooms, wheelchair accessible, labeled as "Restroom."
If you need to pump throughout the day, there is a nearby private room with chairs, a table, and an outlet, and access to a walk-in cooler.
