Katie Freeman, MPA: AHEC Statewide Program Manager & Asst. Adj. Professor, UW School of Medicine and Public Health | Owner & Consultant, Ethos Sustainability Consulting
Katie is dedicated to developing solutions that create economic incentives for environmental protection and community development, particularly in the tourism sector. Her diverse professional experience includes directing communications for environmental organizations, managing hospitality certification programs, teaching college courses on sustainability and public health, and leading international development initiatives. Her work has taken her across Africa, Asia, and South America, where she has contributed to projects in education, health, conservation, and community enterprise.
Katie Freeman serves as the AHEC Statewide Program Manager and an assistant adjunct professor in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. In addition to her academic role, she is a sustainability consultant through her independent business, Ethos Sustainability Consulting. Driven by a lifelong passion for environmental conservation, Katie earned a Master of Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management and Sustainable Development from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. She is also a LEED Green Associate and holds a Certificate in Sustainable Tourism from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

Doors to the building open at 8 AM, enter the building through the breezeway / main entrance (it’s on the SW side). Registering here gets you on our guest list, please bring a photo ID for possible front door confirmation with security.

Paid parking is available in the South Livingston Parking Garage attached to the Arts + Literature Lab building. 111 S Livingston St, Madison, WI 53703. Free street parking is generally available nearby.
