Join us on March 25 for the first volunteering program in 2026 at the River Food Pantry. The volunteer session is at the pantry from 1:45 pm to 4:00 pm.

In these sessions, volunteers will either work in the pantry or meal prep stations. In the pantry, volunteers will pack bags of groceries, load carts with bags, and assist client’s in loading these groceries into their cars. Please be aware that the weight of bags can be up to 40 lbs, and volunteers must be at least age 16.
Started in 2006, The River Food Pantry’s mission to make the community fully nourished. Much of The River’s physical content is “recycled Madison” with building materials, appliances, and starting finances donated by Madison community members. We are excited to volunteer with this group and assist in serving the over 1,000 households that The River supports each week.
Parking Information: The River Food Pantry is located at 3301 Packers Ave, Madison WI 53704. Parking is available in the parking lot in front of the building. You can enter the building through the main entrance. Please leave enough time for parking and walking in to start your shift on time.
